Sign Vision and FiveStarSigns recently joined forces to produce distinctive new signage for a popular tourist hotel in Sidmouth, Devon. John Matthews, Proprietor of Sign Vision, explains. “I happened to be chatting to the people at the hotel; they mentioned that initially they had wanted illuminated lettering for their entrance and a sign company in the area had suggested running wires from one letter to the next. The wiring would have looked untidy and the client had decided that they no longer wanted illuminated signage anyway.” “We spoke about what they did want from and I knew I could come up with a much better solution.” John got to work drafting designs based on the client’s requirements and then got in touch with Jason Edwards at FiveStarSigns.
John continues: “I’d read in Sign Update about a project that was quite intricate where there were issues with being able to produce a certain font style, and Jason had completed the work very successfully. This job had similar issues and was potentially complicated; Jason and I had spoken on the phone so I arranged to visit him with my designs.” “Jason and I put our heads together and talked through different ways of producing the signage; this allowed us to be more creative than an average sign maker.”
